Red River Triumph Club

Turkey Trot Rally – November 18

Members and friends,

The Red River Triumph Club’s November breakfast and “lunch” drive is the Annual Turkey Trot Rally. The rally will be on Saturday the 18th of November starting with the first car out about 10:45am. There will be a driver’s meeting at 10: 30am.

The rally route will wander through the back roads south and west of Fort Worth before finishing at a new destination, our new house in Grandview, TX. At the finish, we plan a “cook-out” lunch. The Pilcher’s will be frying a couple of turkeys (if you want one fried, bring it to the start), the club will provide soft drinks, grilled sweet potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. Entrants are encouraged to bring a covered dish, salad fixings, bread or dessert. There will be a vehicle to carry the food from the start point out to the finish while you are driving the rally. “Lunch” should be about 2pm depending on how well drivers get through the rally.

This will be a Gimmick/Fun Rally but will cover some beautiful driving roads. Even if you do not like to rally, the drive alone will be worth the trip. And if you just want to join us for the “lunch” and miss the amazing ride, meet in Grandview about noon.

Let Cathy Pilcher know what you plan to bring (or ask her what we need) at (817) 280-3030 (work) or (817) 456-2548 (cell) or by email at

Friends and family (and other British Car enthusiasts) and even my motorcycling friends are welcome to join us; we just ask that you let us know you are coming so we can properly plan.

Starting point: Dave and Cathy Pilcher’s property at 102 Windmill Road, Aledo, TX 76008. Take exit 415 (Mica Rd./FM 4) off I-20 and go south about 1.5 miles to Old Annetta Road. Turn east and go ½ mile to Windmill Road.

End point: 7632 County Road 308, Grandview, TX 76050. Best to use the rally instructions, MapQuest or your Garmin…

As in the past, this is a rain or shine event. We’ve had sun, rain, and even sleet and still had a great time…
