Welcome to June!  Let the summer begin!

I hope everyone is doing well and adjusted to the new normal.  It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 months since the COVID-19 changes went into effect for Texas.  It certainly changed many lives as people adjusted.  As a club, we’ve had to cancel all recent events and some other events have canceled throughout the summer, such as the Nationals.  Slowly Texas is starting to open again.  I’m hearing about people getting their haircuts (that’s been a big relief for some), having date night at a restaurant, having family over for dinner and renting a lake cabin for some away time.  We’ve had some pop-up drives that some club members have enjoyed.  Some club members have also gotten together to work on projects together. It’s a personal decision for all.

In the last board meeting, we were discussing when should we look at doing events again.  We opted to send a survey to the club to gather some input.  We also agreed to decide the last week of May about the June breakfast club.  Let me Thank You for your survey responses.  The results are posted in this newsletter.  Because of this, we are hosting the June Breakfast club meeting at Mike & Wynnell Gorman’s place in Midlothian.  They have a huge dining table, living room and backyard space for more.  Bring your Triumphs! And Bring your appetites for a proper English breakfast!  Please RSVP when the link comes out so we can have a count for breakfast.

Dave is working on the Blueberry Farm run and a June lunch run.  Others are working on a summer pool party and a rally to a winery with a boxed lunch.  Watch your inbox and Facebook for event announcements and RSVP links!  If you have an idea for an event and/or can host an event, please let Dave know.

The month of June brings some fun holidays you can celebrate such as

See you back out there when you are ready!
